Kilkenny County Council working in the Community
Junior Achievement Ireland educates and inspires young people to value free enterprise, business, and economics to improve the quality of their lives.
Kilkenny County Council have joined with Junior Achievement, to work together, to build a bridge between the classroom and the workplace. Kilkenny County Council are giving something back to the community, by making an investment in our young people. Staff from the Council are going out and working in schools around the County, to inspire and motivate young people, to realise their potential, by valuing education and understanding the role of business in the community.
Our first project began in St. John's Junior School, Michael Street with two programmes being delivered 'Ourselves' and 'Our Families' to the Senior Infants and 1st class.
This is a very worthwhile project to benefit the children, the schools, the volunteers and Kilkenny County Council and is a WIN WIN venture all round.
A very special thanks to everyone involved.
